“How I Started My Business in Photography – Thriving Freelance Photography | The Final Touch Photography”

As far back as high school days, I have been an aspiring entrepreneur had a clear vision for her future – to run my own small business, build a loving relationship with an adoring husband, and eventually become a stay-at-home mom with with my own thriving company. With a passion for working with children, my initial dream was to open a kids’ store that sold wonderful toys and clothing, with a creative play space in the back for moms and little ones. After graduating, I dove straight into business school, meticulously studying the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. While her ideas evolved over time – shifting from the children’s store to home decor and back again – my core purpose remained the same.

It wasn’t until my final year of school that the wheels were truly set in motion. Working as a visual merchandiser at a clothing retailer, I joined forces with a kindred spirit – a fellow creative who shared her ambitious vision of starting a home staging business. Bold and determined, the two young women took the leap, leaving their jobs to launch their new venture, “The Final Touch.” Though they parted ways after just one successful year together, this temporary business partnership laid the groundwork for the next chapter. The name her friend had chosen would go on to encompass a diverse array of creative enterprises over the next decade – from vintage rentals and clothing to handmade gifts.

Through it all, I never lost sight of my love for photography, which my wonderful stepfather had touch me how to use my DSLR. Blending my passion for working with families and children, photography became the perfect fit – the dream job she had envisioned all along. Of course, the road was not without its challenges; there were tears, frustrations, and moments of wanting to give up completely. But with the unwavering support of my husband, family, and friends, she persevered, learning and growing with each setback. And now, as a proud stay-at-home mom running her thriving photography business, I knows that my long-held dreams have become a beautiful reality. Her journey is a testament to the power of determination, resilience, and the importance of surrounding yourself with a loving, encouraging network. As she looks to the future, adding teaching photography classes to my repertoire, this entrepreneur is proof that when you refuse to give up on your aspirations, they have a way of manifesting in the most wonderful ways.
